Have More Responsibilities at Work, But No Pay Bump? Use This Script to Get the Raise You Deserve. Inflation's brutal — don't leave any money on the table.

As the cost of living continues to soar across the U.S., Americans are feeling the squeeze everywhere from the grocery store to the gas pump — all while trying to survive on salaries that haven't matched inflation.

In fact, 55% of respondents in a new survey from BankRate.com say their income hasn't kept up with higher prices due to inflation, per CNBC. Are you one of them?

If so, you're probably eager for a raise. Maybe you've even taken on additional responsibilities or earned yourself a promotion — but are still waiting on the pay bump to go along with it.

Even if you're confident you deserve a raise, it can be difficult to broach the subject (16% of workers simply don't know what to say, according to this UK poll).
